About 8 years ago I learned how to type using a much older verson of this program and I learned so quickly because it was fun. I purchased this software for a woman I work with who wants to learn how to type. She loves it as much as I did many years ago and she is learning faster than I did.
Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing Deluxe is a completely satisfactory program. I tried the program myself and found it very easy to use. She is having fun with it and is very pleased with her progress. It maintains track of your performance and provides feedback as you learn. I bought this program as a gift for my mother, who is in her eighties. She has always wanted to learn how to touch type, and asked me to find a program that would teach her the skills. The program loads quickly from an icon on the computer desktop (Windows Vista operating system), and provides clear written and spoken instructions for the student.
